Kerala's Dedicated NCLEX RN Preparation Centre for Australia & the USA

Based in Kochi, Kerala, we specialise in NCLEX RN preparation for internationally qualified nurses targeting registration in Australia via AHPRA and in the United States. Since 2024, we have helped nurses from Kerala and across India prepare for the Next Generation NCLEX (NGN) examination — the computer-adaptive test that is now the mandatory assessment for nursing registration in both countries.

Our trainers understand the NGN format inside out: the new item types, the Clinical Judgment Measurement Model (CJMM), and the specific case study structures that distinguish the Next Generation NCLEX from any previous nursing exam. This expertise ensures your preparation reflects exactly what the exam tests – not just general nursing knowledge.

We offer both online and in-centre training modes, making our programme accessible whether you are still working locally or preparing full-time for your NCLEX RN examination.

Why Nurses from Kerala Choose Graduate Training Academy for NCLEX RN

We do not simply work through a textbook. Every NCLEX RN session is built around the Clinical Judgment Measurement Model, NGN item types, and realistic case study scenarios so you walk into your Pearson VUE testing centre with genuine clinical reasoning ability and the confidence to apply it under exam conditions.

NGN Clinical Judgment Training

NGN Clinical Judgment Training

The Next Generation NCLEX does not test memory it tests clinical judgment. Our programme is built around the NCSBN Clinical Judgment Measurement Model (CJMM), equipping you to recognise cues, analyse data, prioritise hypotheses, and evaluate outcomes in the way the exam demands.

NGN Item-Type Mastery

NGN Item-Type Mastery

Extended Multiple Response, Cloze (Drop-Down), Extended Drag-and-Drop, Matrix Grid, Trend — the NGN introduces item types that most candidates have never encountered. We dedicate specific sessions to every new format so that nothing on exam day comes as a surprise.

Full CAT Mock Examinations

Full CAT Mock Examinations

Our NCLEX mock exams replicate the computer-adaptive testing (CAT) experience, including NGN case study clusters and standalone items. Every mock is followed by a detailed performance analysis across all CJMM layers, with a structured improvement plan for your next attempt.

Australia flag

Australia AHPRA - NCLEX RN Registration Pathway

Since November 2023, the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia require internationally qualified nurses to pass NCLEX-RN for registration, replacing bridging programs and OSCE. This program prepares you for the NGN format with Australian clinical standards across acute, aged care, community, and mental health settings. It includes CAT mock exams, NGN item-type training, and full guidance on the AHPRA IQN application process. NCLEX-RN is accepted for registration across all Australian states and is conducted via Pearson VUE.

USA flag

USA NCLEX RN — State Board of Nursing Licensure

The NCLEX-RN, conducted by National Council of State Boards of Nursing, is mandatory for RN licensure in all US states for both domestic and international nurses. With the April 2023 NGN update, the exam focuses on advanced clinical judgment using the CJMM framework. This program covers all test blueprint areas, including case studies, NGN item types, and CAT exam strategies. It also provides guidance on state board applications, CGFNS credential evaluation, and VisaScreen requirements for international candidates.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

The Next Generation NCLEX (NGN), launched by NCSBN in April 2023, introduced significant changes to both the content and format of the NCLEX-RN. The most important change is a shift from testing knowledge recall to testing clinical judgment specifically, a candidate's ability to apply the six cognitive skills of the NCSBN Clinical Judgment Measurement Model (CJMM): recognise cues, analyse cues, prioritise hypotheses, generate solutions, take actions, and evaluate outcomes. The NGN also introduced new item types Extended Multiple Response, Cloze (Drop-Down), Extended Drag-and-Drop, Matrix Grid, and Trend that do not appear in the previous NCLEX format. All NCLEX RN examinations, whether for Australia (AHPRA) or the USA, now use the NGN format.

Yes. Since November 2023, AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) and the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) require all internationally qualified nurses to pass the NCLEX-RN as part of their skills assessment for registration in Australia. This requirement applies regardless of which country you trained in. Passing the NCLEX-RN, in combination with meeting the other AHPRA IQN requirements, enables registration as a Registered Nurse in any Australian state or territory.

Our standard NCLEX RN programme runs for six to eight weeks, covering the full NGN test blueprint, clinical judgment model training, and complete item-type workshops. We also offer intensive four-week programmes for candidates who already have a strong content base and need focused NGN preparation. The right programme for you will depend on your diagnostic assessment results, which we complete at no charge before you enrol.

We offer both fully online and in-centre training at our Kochi campus. Online sessions are delivered live via video conferencing with the same trainer interaction and case study practice as in-centre classes. Many candidates who are still working choose the online mode or a hybrid approach attending online for theory and in-centre for mock exams and debrief sessions.

For the AHPRA pathway, you will need to meet English language proficiency requirements typically OET (Grade B in all four sub-tests) or IELTS as part of your NMBA skills assessment. For US state board registration, English language requirements vary by state. You can begin NCLEX preparation before meeting the language requirement, and many candidates prepare for OET and NCLEX simultaneously. We offer OET coaching as well, so you can complete both with us.

Yes. We welcome candidates who are retaking the NCLEX RN. Our diagnostic assessment will identify the specific content categories and CJMM skill layers where you are underperforming, and we will build a targeted programme around those areas. Many of our most successful students joined GTA after an unsuccessful first attempt and went on to pass comfortably with structured NGN-specific preparation.
