The Speaking and Writing section of the PTE is the longest and hardest. The test has a personal introduction (not scored), read aloud, repeat sentence, describe image, retell lecture, answer short question, summarize written text, and write an essay. The scoring is done entirely by AI and looks at Content, Oral Fluency, Pronunciation, Grammar, Vocabulary, Written Discourse, and Spelling all at once across all tasks.
Reading & Writing tests your understanding and language skills in the Reading section: Fill in the Blanks, Multiple Choice (with more than one answer), Multiple Choice (with only one answer), Re-Order Paragraphs, and Reading: Fill in the Blanks. There is no set amount of time for each task, so candidates must manage their own time throughout the whole section. This is why pacing practice is so important.
Summarise Spoken Text, Multiple Choice, Fill in the Blanks, Highlight Correct Summary, Select Missing Word, Highlight Incorrect Words, and Write from Dictation are all parts of the Listening section. Write from Dictation is one of the most important parts of the test because it counts a lot toward your score and you can improve quickly with targeted practice.

The most common reason PTE candidates miss their target is poor Oral Fluency and Pronunciation in the Speaking tasks, and weak Written Discourse in the Essay. These are not grammar problems, they are technique problems, and they are correctable with the right coaching.

The most common errors in PTE Reading do not come from misunderstanding the text. They come from misreading task instructions and spending too long on high-effort, low-yield tasks.
We teach a task-prioritisation strategy: which tasks to approach first, how to manage time across the untimed section, and how to handle Re-Order Paragraphs the most commonly dropped task type using discourse markers and logical flow cues. For Reading & Writing Fill in the Blanks, which affects both Reading and Writing scores simultaneously, we focus on collocations, contextual grammar, and the elimination technique.
Most PTE candidates underestimate the Listening section because they assume it is passive. In reality, Write from Dictation alone carries enough weight to shift a final score by 4 to 6 points.
We train predictive listening anticipating the structure of what a speaker will say before they finish. For Summarise Spoken Text, we teach a rapid note-taking method using symbols and shorthand that fits comfortably within the 10-minute writing window. For Highlight Incorrect Words, we practise reading along while listening simultaneously a skill that must be rehearsed deliberately and does not come from general English use alone.
